The Lys noir is a luxury yawl commissioned by the wealthy German Prince de Roquelyne for a Russian princess in 1913. It was inspired by the Gironde pilot boats. She was built by the Barrière d'Arcachon shipyards in 1914, typical of the classic luxury yachts. It was given to France as war damage. he is classified as a boat of heritage interest by the Maritime and River Heritage Foundation.
Le Lys noir est un Yawl aurique de luxe Commandé par le richissime prince allemand de Roquelyne pour le compte d'une princesse russe en 1913 . Il s'inspire des bateaux pilotes de la Gironde. Il est construit par les chantiers Barrière d'Arcachon en 1914, typique des luxueux yachts classiques. Il fut donné à la France comme dommage de guerre.
